Will Extended Chokes Pattern Better?

Teague chokes feature a continuous taper throughout, unlike other manufacturers that incorporate parallel sections within the choke. This design results in less pellet distortion, a longer shot string, and more consistent patterns.

Our extended chokes offer a slightly better pattern due to the longer, more gradual taper. However, if your gun already has a long flush choke, the difference may be minimal.

Some shooters prefer flush chokes to avoid any protrusion from the barrel end.

 

Do I Need To Lubricate Teague Chokes?

You should lubricate the chokes each time you insert them into the gun to prevent them from becoming stuck in the barrels. For best results, we recommend using only TEAGUE choke grease.

Our synthetic grease remains stable and does not solidify with temperature changes.

 

What Choke Constriction Should I Choose?

Skeet Shooters most commonly shoot Skeet Chokes. If you want a wider, more open pattern try Cylinder or even Super Cylinder Teague Chokes.

Trap, DTL & Trench Shooters most commonly use 3/4 and Full Chokes

FITASC Sporting Shooters we recommend 3/8 and 5/8 as a great all round combination.

English Sporting is also a 3/8 and 5/8 recommendation but change to a more open choke like Skeet or Cylinder when hunting closer birds or rabbits.

TEAGUE Flush Choke

The TEAGUE Flush Choke fits seamlessly with the muzzle end of the barrels, ensuring no protrusion and making them nearly invisible.

To insert or remove this flush-fitting choke, our taper key is required.

TEAGUE Extended Choke

The TEAGUE Extended Choke protrudes from the end of the barrel, adding length and providing a longer tapered section for a more consistent pattern.

The knurled top allows for easy hand adjustments without the need for a key.

TEAGUE Super Extended Choke

The TEAGUE Super Extended Choke extends even further from the barrel than the standard extended version, adding both length and weight to the end of the gun.

This design provides a longer tapered section for an even more consistent pattern. The knurled top allows for easy hand adjustments without the need for a key.

TEAGUE Ported Choke

The TEAGUE Ported Choke extends from the barrel, adding length and providing a longer tapered section for a more consistent pattern.

The vents in the extended section allow gas to escape, reducing muzzle flip, while the knurled top enables easy hand adjustments without a key.

Please note that Teague currently do not recommend using ported chokes with steel shot, as their performance under higher pressures has not been thoroughly tested.

Once cartridge companies provide consistent components and thorough testing has occurred, and on notification from Teague we will update guidance accordingly.

Teague Super Extended Ported Choke

The TEAGUE Super Extended Ported Choke, a perfect blend of Teague’s Super Extended and Ported styles.

This choke extends the barrel length, providing a longer tapered section for more consistent patterns.

The vents in the extended section allow gas to escape, reducing muzzle flip, while the knurled top allows for easy hand adjustments without a key.
