Every dealer will tell you they can hold a gun. Gun Bar is different: secure firearm storage is what we specialise in. Our purpose-built vault was engineered to exceed the storage standards set by the Australian Federal Police, your firearms are fully insured against theft and damage while they’re with us, and access is strictly appointment-only. We’re a licensed Queensland firearms dealer (Licence 50001615), so whatever the reason your guns need a safe home — for a week or for good — we can take care of it properly and legally.

Who we store for

Travelling, working away or overseas. Heading off for weeks or months? Store your firearms with us and know they’re safe and compliant while you’re gone — ideal for FIFO workers and travellers.
Deceased estates. Executors have a legal duty to keep a deceased person’s firearms securely stored, with a limited window to deal with them. Storing with a licensed dealer is an approved option — and because we can also value, sell, transfer or surrender them, we take the whole burden off your hands at a hard time.
Licence suspension, expiry or renewal. If your licence lapses or is suspended, you can’t legally hold your firearms — but you don’t have to surrender them for good. Store them with us until you’re sorted.
Moving, renovating, or a change at home. Between houses, doing a reno, or a change in circumstances means your safe isn’t an option? We’ll hold them securely until things settle.
Your storage isn’t compliant (yet). Waiting on a safe, or been pulled up on storage? Keep everything above board by storing with us in the meantime.
A Police order, a DVO, or a vexatious claim. Life can take an unexpected turn. If you’ve been deemed not fit and proper by Police, been named in a DVO, AVO or similar order, or you’re the victim of a vexatious claim, you may be required to give up possession of your firearms — but that doesn’t have to mean losing them. We’ll store them legally and securely until the matter is resolved.

How it works

Call 1800 GUNBAR or make a booking online. Tell us how many firearms and roughly how long — we’ll confirm availability and price.

2 · Book your drop-off

We arrange an appointment time that suits you. Complete our booking request and we’ll take it from there.

3 · Secure intake

We log and store your firearms in our high-security facility. You receive a Form 10 Notice of Disposal that records the transaction.

4 · Access & retrieval

Make an appointment and arrange collection. Firearms can’t be collected same day — an appointment is scheduled once the required regulatory checks have been completed, and next business day is usually possible. Or ask us to sell, transfer or surrender on your behalf.

We invoice monthly, and $0 is payable at the time of drop-off or collection.

A confidential, secure facility

Our vault is in Spring Hill, Brisbane — but you won’t find the street address here, and that’s deliberate. We’re not a shop. We don’t take walk-ins, and we don’t have visitors. The location stays confidential and access is strictly by appointment with authorised clients only. It’s one more layer of security around your firearms — and it’s exactly why serious owners choose us. We service Brisbane and all of Queensland.

Common questions

Do you offer long-term gun storage?

Yes — from short stints to indefinite storage. There’s a 30-day minimum charge and no maximum term, so you can store for as long as you need.

How much does gun storage cost?

Storage is $30 per firearm, per month, plus a one-off $30 brokerage and administration fee per firearm. We invoice monthly, and nothing is payable at drop-off or collection.

Are my firearms insured while stored?

Yes. Your firearms are covered against theft and damage the whole time they’re in our care.

I don’t hold a current licence (e.g. a deceased estate) — can you still help?

Yes. We can arrange collection of the firearms for you — just make a booking and we’ll take care of the rest.

Can you sell my firearms while they’re stored?

Absolutely. As a licensed dealer we can value, broker and sell, or arrange a transfer or surrender — whatever you need.
