Manufactured by Steyr Daimler Puch A.G. in the 1960’s, this Mannlicher Schoenauer Mod MC is a highly sought after collectors rifle.
It has changed hands just a few times over the years and after being care taken by an avid collector through the COVID years, it is time to find a new home and make room in the collection for another something special.
With intricate engraving by Dick Chapman (an Australian Master Engraver) adorning both sides of the action, the muzzle band, floor plate, trigger guard & optic rings this gun would not be out of place in an art gallery or museum.
Chambered in 270WIN with original internal rotary magazine and original factory blued finish that is in excellent condition.
Topped with a Kahles Helia 4x Scope that is original to the rifle and retains its clarity still today.
A bright bore and sharp rifling are testament to this rifle’s care and love received over the years.
Smooth functioning bolt action with original spoon handle bolt and double set-triggers.
Manufacturing of this rifle ceased in 1972 though spare parts are still available around the world.
Modern “classic” Steyr-Mannlicher rifles are still manufactured and have original features incorporated into their design, this action and the rotary magazine are no longer, some might say a sign of days gone by.
